Throughout our region, each county is driven by a curiosity about what’s possible in the renewable energy industry. Benton County is home to the first commercial wind farm, with many more continuing to be built. The introduction of solar power has opened new opportunities for large-scale operations. Several counties are already home to several solar power farms.
In addition to wind and solar power, our region includes hydroelectric power in White and Carroll counties. As a region of agriculture, pursuing the use of anaerobic digesters is a new and exciting renewable energy source.
